Unhel: Commemorating the 120th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, students and academic staff of Saraswati Shishu Mandir on Tuesday took out a march past across the town.
The march past which started from the school campus, culminated at the same place after traveling through different areas of the town.
Hundreds of town people, including members of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Lions Club, Royal group, Kothalkar family, Padhye family and other social institutions accorded a warm welcome to the school kids.
Chief guest Vishal Gupta in his address to the students enlightened upon the life and contribution of Netaji in freedom struggle.
Followed by Gupta’s address, Bhairulal Jain who chaired the function delivered a speech on Subash Chandra Bose’s life. He informed students on how Azad Hind army and slogan “Give me your blood, I’ll give you freedom” came to existence.
Earlier, Bharti Vipat, Archana Nandeda and Archana Panchal welcomed the guests.
The programme was hosted by Motiram Madariya and the vote of thanks was proposed by Ramchandra Modi. On this occasion Rajendra Gupta, Punamchand Jain, Mahesh Solanki, school principal Lal Singh Gaur along with the entire staff were present.
