Bhopal/Sehore: Not taking any name, BJP candidate from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat, Pragya Thakur, indirectly dubbed former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh a ‘terrorist’.  At a public meeting in Sehore, Pragya said that Uma Didi had defeated Singh in 2003, and after that, he could not show his face for 16 years. Nevertheless, he is back again, but this time, a Sanyasin is taking on him and she will finish the terrorist, said Pragya in a veiled attack on Congress candidate from the constituency.

She is a testimony to his ill deeds but he would be fixed for ever, Pragya said. Pragya said the factories in Sehore were intentionally not allowed to function while Sugarcane factory and oil factories were shut down and shifted to Guna. She alleged that they led their own business thrive but made people of Sehore unemployed. Taking exception to Pragya’s statement, Congress leaders have said that a complaint in this regard would be made to Chief Electoral Officer.

Revolt within BJP: Fatima not do campaign for Pragya Thakur
BJP is facing revolt within its carder over fielding of Pragya Thakur as party candidate. BJP Bhopal North candidate Fatima Siddiqui has refused to do campaigning in favour of Pragya. Fatima, daughter of former Congress minister Rasool Ahmed Siddiqui, had joined BJP during assembly polls.  Fatima said she did not join BJP to do politics of Hindu-Muslim and had come to the party due to influence of former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Terming the selection of party candidate in Bhopal as wrong, Fatima said there were several leaders including Alok Sanjar, Alok Sharma among others who could have been given ticket.

Now Sanjar’s unparliamentary remark

BHOPAL: After Pragya Thakur’s objectionable comment against Hemant Karkare, now the BJP sitting MP Alok Sanjar has made a controversial remark over her arrest.  Using unparliamentary language, the sitting parliamentarian said, ‘Kutto ne Sadhvi ko nou saal tak quaid me rakha tha’ (Dogs had kept the Sadhvi in captivity for nine years). He was addressing a public meeting in Sehore, on Thursday. Pragya’s comment had triggered a nationwide furore and now Sanjar’s comment would add fuel to the fire.
