BHOPAL: SBI Ladies Club donated a sanitary napkin vending machine on Friday to mark to mark International Women’s Day, The machine was installed at Anganwadi centre located in Bhadbhada area under Integrated Child Development Project Banganga for the purpose of playing an active role in the cleanliness drive of the country.
Veenus Arora, president of SBI Ladies Club presented the machine to Parveen Sultan, Anganwadi worker. Arora gave wishes to International Women’s Day, emphasising the strength of women to recognise their power. She said to women of the settlement that if we have to stay healthy then the environment around us should also be clean because many diseases in our body are only due to unhygienic environment.
She encouraged the use of sanitary napkins through the vending machine encouraging them to make the maximum use of it. “Efforts have been made to raise awareness of education, employment and cleanliness,” she said. On this occasion, a large number of women including Anganwadi workers along with other members of the women club, including additional vice president, Sangeeta Shukla were also present.
