Bhopal: The sailors of MP State Water Sports Academy have bagged the second and third position at the Asian Sailing Federation Youth Cup organised at Hong Kong from February 12-17. A total of 11 countries participated in this championship.
Ram Milan Yadav of the academy represented team India at the Asian Sailing Federation Youth Cup and grabbed the second position in the boys’ category of laser 4.7 event and Uma Yadav stood third in the girls’ category of optimist event. Five out of seven players who represented team India were of the academy are getting trained under the guidance of Chief Coach, MP State Water Sports Academy, GL Yadav and assistant coach, Anil Sharma.
The winners met with the department of sports and youth and welfare director, SL Thaosen and told him about their achievements. Thaosen appreciated their performance and congratulated them for their feat.
