BHOPAL: The hearing date of Sagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) mayor has been extended to April 6. The SMC mayor has to submit the reply on March 20 about his involvement in alleged corruption, for demanding 25 per cent commission to pass a bill.
Mayor Abhay Dare informed Free Press that the government had served the notice to submit the reply till March 20, but it had not given the papers. He added that he had filed the RTI on March 6, in which he had demanded six-point information from the urban development department.
On March 16, the department provided only four-point information and left two points, he alleged adding along with the charge sheet, the department had to provide the documents, but only one paper notice had been given.
He alleged the department had not given the certified copy of the alleged audio, name of the complainant and source of the audio.
He added on Tuesday he appeared in front of principal secretary Malay Shrivastava and raised his objections. The PS had instructed the department to provide the required papers.
He also claimed the government had stopped his disbursing powers, which was illegal, according to the municipal act.
“Things are not going natural,” he alleged.
