BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Bhopal Pragya Singh Thakur known for making controversial remarks is back in limelight. A video in which she is dancing on popular Sindhi song has gone viral on social media and reached Russia and the UAE.  In the 2.30-minute clip, Pragya is seen dancing with a group of women on Sindhi song like, “Jiye muhinji Sindhi, wah wah Sindhi wah wah…”

The video was shot at a programme organised by Sindhi Panchayat, Idgah Hills and WoW (Women of Wisdom) club to mark Cheti Chand (Sindhi New Year) here on Sunday. The video is being widely shared on social media, especially WhatsApp. “My sister-in-law who lives in Russia shared the video with me on WhatsApp on Tuesday morning. And so did my parents who live in Udaipur,” club member Ritika Kingrani told Free Press.

“I had left event early due to some engagement and so I am not in the video. But as my family members know club members, they recognised some of the faces and shared the video with me,” she said. Suchita Talreja, another club member, received the video from her sister and friends who live in Nagpur and her aunt who lives in Kanpur.

Suchita, who met Pragya for the first time, said she danced very well. “Pragya also interacted with us. She appealed to women to come forward and take interest in politics,” she said. According to Suchita, both the political parties are approaching their club to solicit votes.

Another club member Neha Idnani said Pragya was with them for almost half an hour. “It was a nice experience. She watched our group dance for some time and then joined us,” Neha said she received a call regarding the video from her husband’s cousin who lives in Agra.
