BHOPAL: The renovation work of 200-year-old Sadar Manzil building has been delayed by a year. The renovation work of building was announced in August 2016. In early 2017 the Bhopal smart city development corporation limited (BSCDCL) awarded the renovation work under PPP mode to a Rajasthan-based firm Rajputana.
According to the workers at the site- over 50 per cent of the work is pending and it will take one more year from now to complete.
The 18th century palace was used as the throne of Begun Sultan Jahan and later in Independent India it served as the headquarter of the Bhopal Municipal Corportaion (BMC).
Once it is restored to its former glory the work, the building will be opened for visitors. BSCDCL managing director Sudam Khade says the work that is underway takes time as there are lot of things that need attention.
