Bhopal: Ruling, opposition MLAs attack government on illegal liquor, power supply

BHOPAL: MLAs of all parties raised the problem of illegal liquor and erratic power supply in the state during the Question Hour on Tuesday. The MLAs were not satisfied with the ministers’ reply

Congress MLA, Harsh Yadav said that the illegal liquor had become the problem, but neither the police nor the excise department is paying attention on the illegal trading. Finance minister Jayant Malliya said that the police and the excise department are conducting raids to curb the trade.

BJP, MLAs Shailendra Jain and Govind Singh Patel and Congress MLA Sunderlal Tiwari and Ramniwas Rawat started raising questions on the minister’s reply. The other MLAs of various parities also joined in the support of the discussion.

Sunderlal Tiwari reached the well of the assembly.

Once again the all the members joined together on the power supply issue, Congress MLA, Umang Singhar, BJP, MLA, Ramesh Dubey and Narayan Singh Pawar, wanted to know the specific date of electrification of their areas and also the up gradation of sub standard transformers which are catching fire due to over loading.

On this almost all the members started complaining about the load shedding problems in their areas.

MLA Ramnivas Rawat wanted a reply from the GAD minister Lal Singh Arya about the questions put up by the MLA, Dr Govind Singh in the assembly. The MLA was not satisfied with the answer given by the minister and stated that the minister is providing incomplete replies. The speaker Sitasharan Sharma intervened and asked the minister to check the replies, before presenting it in the assembly.
