BHOPAL: The cabinet sub-committee on Simhastha, on Tuesday, cleared the additional expenditure made on holding the religious fair. The works on which the additional expenditure was incurred were also cleared at the meeting of the panel. These included 35 works worth Rs 109.17 crore cleared by the empowered committee headed by the chief secretary and at the local level.
This would most probably be the last meeting of the sub-committee. Most of the payments pertaining to the additional expenditure have already been made. Sources said all Simhastha-related works, except diversion of Khan River, had been completed. The diversion work would be completed within the next month.
