Bhopal: A 62-year-old retired railway employee has been arrested by Piplani police on Friday night for raping a 41-year-old woman in a hotel located at Raisen road on January 4. The woman is separated from her husband and the accused lured her by promising to tie knot with her.
According to SHO of Piplani, Rakesh Shrivastava, the woman has separated from her husband few years ago after her husband went to Central jail for a crime. On January 4, she went to Central Jail in Gandhi Nagar to meet her husband where she met retired railway employee Rajendra Sharma who came to meet his prisoner son. After they got acquainted with each other, the accused lured her that they would hire a good advocate who will surely manage to get bail of her husband and his son.
The woman got convinced after having conversation with accused Rajendra who then took victim on his motorbike to a hotel located at Raisen Road in Rajeev Nagar Mandi area where he forcefully outraged her modesty. Later the accused assured her that he would marry her soon and asked her to remain tight-lipped over the incident.
However, later the accused started avoiding her and also stopped talking to her. When she started mounting pressure on him, Rajendra denied to keep his promise and threatened victim after which she approached Piplani police station and lodged a complaint.
