BHOPAL: The road from Lambakheda to Eintkhedi was not built due to government’s apathy towards a particular community, said MLA Arif Aqueel at the meeting of district planning committee here on Tuesday.
He was referring to the ongoing construction of the Berasia-Bhopal road, which has been started from the Berasia end and the stretch from Lambakheda to Eintkhedi is yet to be built. Ijtima begins in Itkhedi from November 26.
Collector Nishant Warvade, reacting to the allegation of Aqueel, said that the latter is making false allegation. The meeting hot exchanges between Warvade and Aqueel.
The issue of problems faced due to malfunctioning POS machines at fair price shops was also raised in the meeting by people’s representatives. Aqueel, commenting on roads in the state capital, claimed that roads are repaired whenever a VIP comes visiting. Traffic arrangements in the city were also discussed in the meeting.
District in-charge minister Gopal Bhargava in the meeting directed to fix the technical problem in POS machine at ration shops in the city and provide ration to all eligible families timely. Bhargava said engineers should pay attention to quality of roads during their construction.
There should be no compromise with the quality of roads. He said if roads get damaged within three years of their construction then the concerned engineer would be held responsible and strict action would be taken against him.
