A day ahead of the D-day, the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan looked calm enjoying Sambhar Vada and tea with his wife Sadhana and son Kunal at ICH, here on Tuesday evening “Today, I am relaxed. In morning I performed puja and had meal at home and for the evening the family decided to have tea at Indian Coffee House,” said Chouhan, who looked, as he claimed, stress-free.

Chouhan told media persons , “After holding series of public meetings I was feeling tired and so decided to take a break with the family, said Chouhan, sitting relaxed on his chair with family by his side.  He said during his school days he used to visit ICH regularly and relished dosa and coffee. “Just to relive those days we all have come here,” said Chouhan smilingly.

Chouhan, seeking fourth straight term for BJP in the state, is contesting from Budhni, however, instead of visiting his constituency a day before the voting, chose to spend time with his family. “Congress candidate from Budhni, Arun Yadav, is my friend and he is trying hard to win the election, but I know that people of Budhni love me and they will vote for me on November 28 and the winning margin will be more than one lakh,” said Chouhan exuding confidence. “I never make enemies, all are my brothers and any issue can be solved through talks,” he added.

He rubbished the anti-incumbency factor and said people have recognised the development undertaken by BJP government. “The anti-incumbency factor was high during 2003 elections, but now the situation is different, people are more aware about the works done by the BJP government,” he said.

“This time the votes of poor people will go in favour of BJP, because the programmes like Sambal Yojna of the state government and PM Awas Yojan of Central Government,” he claimed. He said, “Waiving off loan is like a mercy on the person, I want to empower the farmers so that they can repay their loans on their own”.

He said that his first priority for Wednesday would be to cast his vote as early as possible. After relishing the south Indian dishes, Sadhana Singh, who was holding the responsibility of election campaign in Budhni, paid Rs 200 against their Rs 108 bill, giving rest as tip to the waiter who attended the family. She informed that their elder son Kartikay was continuing campaign on behalf of his father in Budhni.
