BHOPAL: The services of contractual employees may not be regularised before the Lok Sabha elections, as the matter will be presented in the assembly budget session. The general administration minister Dr Govind Singh informed Free Press that the matter has been discussed with CM thrice. “The matter will be presented in the budget session of the assembly and after the discussion the decision will be taken,” he added. He also added that the issue may be present in the scheduled session going to start from February 18, but it may shifted to other dates after the Lok Sabha elections.  The Congress leaders including the state president and now chief minister Kamal Nath and the then leader of opposition Ajay Singh had promised the contractual employees that they will be regularised if the Congress forms the government. Now the contractual employees associations are meeting the ministers to press their demands and with a hope that government shall order in their favour before the Lok Sabha elections.

Contractual employees association president Ramesh Rathore said Congress leaders have promised that the employees who were terminated by imposing the fake and false grounds, will be taken back without any questions and also the employees whose cases are pending in the Courts will be asked to withdraw the case and join services. He raised the question that in the state more than 2.50 lakh contractual employees are working, but the government is not paying any attention on their promise made in the Vachan Patra.
