BHOPAL: Transport commissioner has issued directives to regional transport offices (RTO) for proper recovery of vehicles tax in the state. As per the letter issued to RTOs, instructions have been given to impose tax on commercial rate from private vehicle attached to government offices. Similarly, motor vehicle tax at rate of Rs 200 per seat per month is to be collected from such private vehicles which are hired by one educational institution, but are operated for other institutions. RTOs have been instructed to serve notices to owners of heavy goods carriers who have not been applied for amended permit after Central government issued order on it.
RTO have been instructed to collect details from Smart chips private limited regarding vehicles issued permanent permits. Similarly, details of good carriers which have limit of 12000 kilograms, have been demanded. Instruction has also been given to collect details of vehicles liked to factory and plants in the divisions.
Directives have been given for recovery of tax as per the state rules and regulations from those vehicles which are registered in other states but being operated in Madhya Pradesh. Recovery be ensured from those vehicles which are attached with various agencies like PWD, CPA, Pradhan Mantri Road Yojana, State Road Development Yojana, Municipal Corporations, Boards and being operated without paying tax.
