Bhopal: ‘Reach villages at 7 am or else…’

MORENA: Collector Vinod Sharma has said that the ongoing Gramodaya Se Bharat Uday campaign is high on the priority list of the government and the officers who have been assigned duties in connection with the campaign should take it seriously. He was addressing the timeline meeting at the collectorate here on Monday. Among others, district panchayat CEO Anurag Verma, additional collector SK Mishra, SDMs and janpad panchayat CEOs were present.

The collector told the officers that those assigned duty were expected to reach the villages at 7 am and apprise the villagers of government schemes. He said every morning the location of all the teams would be taken from the control room at the collectorate and officers not found at their designated place would face action.

He said the panchayat secretaries were on strike and their work would be done by GRS. He said an FIR would be registered against any sarpanch or panchayat secretary putting a lock on the Panchayat Bhawan and the locks would be got broken. He said if any of the secretaries on strike wanted to resign, their resignation should be accepted immediately and acknowledgment be given to him.
