Bhopal: Rains likely in MP in second week of Mar

BHOPAL: Rains are in the offing in the state in the second week of March. This is due to a feeble Trough which will form over the region. However, these rains will not last for long and the region will observe dry weather on March 12.

Around March 13 or 14, a Confluence Zone is expected to develop over East Madhya Pradesh, which will give scattered light rain over Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur, and Mandla.

However, the intensity of these rains will be light and will not help, majorly, in improving rain deficiency figures. On the temperature front, Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 32.6 degree Celsius which was just normal. However, it recorded a rise of 3.5 degree Celsius.

Similarly, it recorded a minimum temperature of 15 degree Celsius which was still 1.6 degree Celsius below normal. Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 32.4 degree Celsius which was 1.4 degree Celsius below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 15.2 degree Celsius which was just below normal. Day temperature recorded a rise of 2.4 degree Celsius and night temperature recorded a rise of 2.8 degree Celsius.
