Deputy conservator of forest posted in Bandhawgarh national park found to be the owner of property worth more than Rs 2.50 crore. The Lokayukta police Rewa conducted raid on the officer on the early morning of Friday. The SP Lokayukta Rajendra Verma said the police got information that the deputy conservator of forest S K Shrivastava has assets which are disproportionate to his known sources of income. The police conducted simultaneous raids at his official residence in Umaria and his native place in Satna.
The police have found the cash of Rs 5.50 lakh and the jewellery worth Rs 15 lakh. The sleuths also came across bank and post office deposits including the FDRs worth Rs 1 crore. The officer also owns a duplex house in Satna, a plot worth Rs 28 lakh and a shop all amounting to Rs 1 crore. The authorities will open the bank locker on Monday. The official also possess three four -wheelers. The raid was continuing till the report was filed last.
