Bhopal: Congress president Rahul Gandhi should tender an apology to the Hindu community for defaming Hindu culture and dishonouring the country by raising the issue of “Hindu terror” before the last Lok Sabha election, said national president of the BJP Amit Shah.

Shah was addressing party workers from across the state at the BHEL Dussehra Maidan here. Citing the acquittal by a Hyderabad court of all five people accused in the 2007 Mecca Masjid blast case including Swami Aseemanand, Shah said that in the name of “Hindu terrorism”, fake cases were registered against innocent people and they were sent to jail for political reasons.

Gandhi has claimed that the Congress would win the next election in the state, but even if he would try to see the Congress victory with help of a binocular he would not find it, said the BJP president. The BJP government in the state stands on the feet of Lord Angad and none could remove it, and the victory margin would be so huge this time that the Congress leaders would have heart attack, he added.

“In fact, the election is between a corporate family and the farmers, and the BJP talks of the peasants,” said Shah. Appreciating the work of the Chief Minister, Shah said, “No one has worked as much for the state as Shivraj Singh Chouhan has and the remaining work will be done when the BJP will come to power after the next election.”

The Congress was playing divisive politics and Digvijaya Singh had himself opposed the formation of OBC commission and he should go to public and speak the truth, Shah said.

I shall visit every district: Amit Shah

Amit Shah said he would go to every district before the election to hold meetings. Citing from the Gita he told party workers to stand and deal a severe blow to the enemy. Throw away Congress from the roots, he said, adding that the party should win election on the strength of the organisation.

Congress can resort to violence: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the Congress was playing politics on dead bodies. He said the Congress could resort to shooting, dharnas and the BJP workers should be careful about that. Chouhan said the Congress is a paper tiger and cannot withstand the BJP might.
