Jabalpur High Court, on Monday, stayed the publication of the results of an examination conducted on November 6 last year for recruitment of 463 training officers for ITIs functioning under the department of technical education.
Petitioners Rajendra Sahu, Khemendra Thakur and others alleged the contractual training officers working in skill development centres under the technical education department for five years were not given any preference in the recruitment. The essential qualifications for training officers in skill development centres and ITIs are the same. But despite that, no provision was made for giving relaxation in age limit or bonus marks to them. Instead of merging the services of these experienced personnel, the department chose to make direct recruitment.
