Bhopal: PUBG more addictive than opium, says BJP MLA, demands MP ban

Bhopal: BJP MLA Yashpal Singh Sosidiya has demanded ban on mobile game PUBG in the state. Sisodiya raised the issue through Calling Attention Motion in assembly on Thursday. The mobile game PUBG is full of violence and has become popular among children and youth of nation and it is now taking state in its grip. This game is pushing the youth studying in schools and colleges towards violence besides wasting their precious time, he said.

“I come from opium producing region; this is game is more dangerous than opium addiction,” said Sisodiya. This game has been banned in more than seven states including Gujarat and Maharashtra, it should be banned in MP as well, he demanded.

Responding to his demand, home minister Bala Bachhan said that the demand relates to information and broadcasting ministry of central government and state government has no legal provisions to ban the game. Information is being collected from other states, replied the minister.
