Bhopal: Property and goods worth crore gutted of seven businessmen in the massive fire broke out in saw mills in the Sehore city on the Friday night. The member of parliament Pragya Thakur, minority minister Arif Aqueel, ex-chief minister Digvijaya Singh reached the spot and consol the affected families, on Saturday. Mandi police station SHO Yuvraj Singh Chouhan informed that in the Mandi area a fire broke out in the saw mill of Sureshchandra Rathore at around 10.30 pm. The fire soon turned massive and gutted complete saw mill of Rathore including his house, the family had estimated the loss to be around Rs 1 crore.
The timber and furniture worth Rs 5 lakh each, of other saw mill owners in the vicinity: Mohammad Taiyab and Komal Chourasia were also gutted in the fire, similar loss has been reported by another timbre merchant Gyanendra and Swaroop Singh. The whole saw mill of Om Prakash Chourasia is also gutted in the fire, but he is not in a condition to assess the loss. It took eight fire tenders three hours to control the fire. Tenders where called from Bairagarh Bhopal, Icchawar and form other places. The reason of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Political leaders reached the spot to assess the situation and rescue work, Pragya Thakur along with the political leaders reached the spot and assured the affected that she will going to help them in re-establishing the business. Similarly minister Aqueel and Digvijaya Singh also assured them that they will ensure that they support from the state government.
