Bhopal: Probe soon in e-tendering scam, says PWD Minister

Bhopal: PWD Minister Sajjan Singh Verma, after taking over the charge, here on Friday, said that probe will be ordered into e-tendering scam in Madhya Pradesh. The minister presiding over a review meeting at Mantralaya, said that that better parking arrangement will be made in the cities. There will be review of road widening in Kolar area (Bhopal), and of the ongoing construction work of 2000 bed-Hamidia Hospital premises.

Emphasizing on the work quality, the minister said that proper monitoring of the project will be done and the PWD will ensure to complete the project within the time limit. Government will ensure better road connectivity to rural areas and good quality roads would be constructed, said the minister. Initiative will be taken for making roads of state as model and getting them recognized at national level.

In Bharat-Mala Yojana, Central government has given approval for construction of 6-lane Bhopal-Indore Expressway and Bhopal bypass, he said. With the construction of Express way, Bhopal –Indore distance will be covered in just 2 hours, said the minister. A 16-storey well furnished building has been sanctioned for government employees in Bhopal, he informed.
