Bhopal: Poor will get sumptuous food for Rs 5 says Shivraj Singh Chouhan

BHOPAL: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, announcing plethora of schemes on Sunday at the state-level training programme on public welfare schemes, said anyone would get sumptuous food just for Rs 5 from Deendayal Rasoi in the state from the next financial year. The CM also upgraded several old schemes in the programme. Almost the entire cabinet and many MLAs of the party were present on the occasion.

Chouhan said the migratory labourers face food crisis while searching the work in various places of the state. To solve their problem the state government will coordinate with the industrialists coming out to help such labourers through corporate social responsibility funds. A mess will be run in selected cities with their coordination. He also launched the Lalima Abhiyan control anaemia among the girls and women. He also added that the state government will introduce a new law to provide land to landless people to construct house. Reshaping the old schemes, the government will provide a smart phone to brides and grooms getting married under CM Kanyadan Yojna.

The state government will provide scholarships to the poor students of general category. The government will take a decision in the Vidhyarthi Panchayat on January 12 to pay fees of such students in medical college, IIM, IIT and other institutions. The government has also changed the upper limit of free treatment of poor patients. Now the government will provide free of cost treatment up to Rs 2 lakh in government hospitals and in private hospitals. New pilgrimage centres have been added in the CM Tirth Darshan Yojna, and ex gratia relief has also been increased for deaths of farmers, labours and others. Chouhan also urged the people to adopt the cashless transactions, which would also end up black money and tax evasions.

Don’t return black money deposited in Jan Dhan A/Cs to rich people: CM

The CM asked the people not to return the black money deposited in their Jan Dhan accounts. He said, “PM Narender Modi has asked to write the letter to him if anyone comes and asks to withdraw the amount, you can write to PM and to me also,” he said.

“PM Narendra Modi has made the rich people to stand at the door step of the poor people, to deposit their black money in their accounts”. He added.
