The process of filing of nomination papers for Indore Lok Sabha seat will begin from April 22. Its last date is April 29. With filing of nomination, collector and district election officer Lokesh Kumar Jatav will issue notification to begin election process for seventh and last phase of polling to be held in the city on May 19.
The nomination papers will be filed between 11 am to 3 pm except on holidays. Nomination papers will be scrutinised on April 30 and candidates can withdraw names on May 2. The election symbols will be allocated to all candidates on the same day by evening.
Once the picture of candidates will be clear by May 2, the postal ballot will be emailed to service voters (armed forces) through Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballots System to their Commanding Officer on May 3. Only five people will be allowed to enter the room of returning officer.
