Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Kolar police on Saturday registered a case against unidentified person in a case pertaining to jewellery missing from a woman’s body in JK hospital. The case was registered following directions from CM Helpline.
The family of a woman, who died during corona treatment in JK hospital, had lodged a complaint that her jewellery was missing when they received the body. The family also alleged that when they went to police station, the cops turned them away after which they filed a complaint on CM Helpline.
Her son Sarthak Joshi said his mother was admitted in the hospital on April 17 and she died on April 22. Though they received her other belongings, jewellery was missing. He said he approached Kolar police station on May 5 where a cop refused to register case.
He then lodged a complaint on the CM helpline on the same day. Sarthak said the jewellery was worth Rs 1.5 lakh but the police have registered a loss of Rs 60,000.
