Bhopal: On the instructions of state government, the police are preparing fake reports on farmers’ death in the state, alleged leader of opposition in state assembly Ajay Singh on Thursday. The Congress party have formed committees to investigate the deaths of farmers, he added.
Singh alleged that the state government is preparing the report in which they wanted to show that the farmers are committing suicide not due to debt, but because they are in habitual drinking, family disputes and personal disputes.
Police are pressurising families of the deceased farmers to give statement according to their line of instructions. Presenting an example, Singh stated that in Nasrullhaganj famer Mukesh committed suicide. Brother of the deceased Shantilal stated that police are mounting pressure on him not to tell anyone about the real reason of death.
CM district top in suicide
Ajay Singh said that the home district of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tops in farmer’s suicide with six cases till date. Shatrughan Meena, a resident of Sehore, had taken some poisonous substance on Wednesday and died on Thursday. He had taken loan of Rs 5 lakh from money lender Arjun Malviya, who is close to Shivraj Singh Chouhan. When the deceased went to electricity board office for a pump connection, he found that his five acre land has been acquired by Arjun Malviya. In a shock he consumed poison and ended his life.
Cong probe committees
Congress party has constituted committees to find out real reasons for the death farmers. PCC general secretary Veer Singh Yadav, former treasurer Naresh Jain and Virendra Gour will investigate the death of Gulai Kurmi in Sagar. The death of Sikan Kalla Ahirwar of Tikamgarh will be investigated by former minister Akhand Pratap, Yadvendra Singh and MLA Chanda Devi Gound. Similarly, PCC general secretary Ajay Chore, MLAs Rajneesh Singh and Sohan Valmiki will investigate the death of farmer Shyam Kumar of Chhindwara. MLA Vikram Natiraja, Ravindra Shukla and former MLA Funder Choudhary will probe the death of Mahesh Tiwari in Chattarpur.
