Bhopal: Plays Theek Tumhare Peeche and Veni staged under Navagat Natya Samaroh 2022

Directed by Vishal Singh Rajput from Gwalior, the play is based on a story Maa, written by theatre and film actor’s Manav Kaul in his first collection, Theek Tumhare Peeche.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Two solo plays ‘'Theek Tumhare Peeche' and ‘Veni,’ were staged at the Tribal Museum in the city on Wednesday evening.

It was part of ongoing Navagat Natya Samaroh 2022, organised by MP School of Drama. Directed by Vishal Singh Rajput from Gwalior, the play is based on a story ‘Maa,’ written by theatre and film actor’s Manav Kaul in his first collection ‘Theek Tumhare Peeche'. The play highlights what is defined as right or wrong by society, no matter whether the definitions are true or false. Abhi Sisodia acted in the play.

Another play ‘Veni,’ directed and acted by Nupur Pandey from Maharashtra was based on a story collection, penned by Volga. How should a woman's hair grow, how should she keep it and at what time her hair will be removed - all is pre-decided. A woman's beautiful hair defined her existence. The play shows how politics is played on the bodies of women. Besides, ‘Gali Wali Dulhan Wali’ and ‘Triye’ will be staged on Thursday.
