NARSINGHPUR: The residents of Bandroha village in Narsinghpur district have launched a campaign to clean Hiran River by removing water hyacinth and moss from it. The hyacinth and moss are being dumped into a pit for producing organic manure. Deputy director, agriculture Jitendra Singh, along with a team of officials, reached Bandroha and told the people about the process of preparing organic manure from waste. The villagers took a pledge to clean the river and to use the waste to produce organic manure. The manure would help enhance the productivity of soil. The campaign would make Narmada cleaner as Hiran joins the holy river.
