Ex-CM Babulal Gaur, interacting with media on Thursday, said the party fielding good candidates would win assembly elections and come to power. Gaur said the voting percentage has increased in rural areas in comparison to urban areas and it would go in favour of the candidate.
Gaur said whether the candidate belonged to the BJP or the Congress, the best candidate would win. The election this time was not between the parties and there was no wave in elections. Gaur said not giving tickets to Sartaj Singh and Ramkrishna Kusumaria affected the party. Gaur said there was close contest this time.

BJP state president Rakesh Singh, on the issue of bumper polling, said the bumper polling showed that the BJP, led by the CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, would form the government. Singh said heavy polling was not because of anti-incumbency but the voters sensing that if they do not vote than Congress may win. Singh said Congress leveling allegations on EVMs proves that the BJP would form the government.
