BHOPAL: Various districts like Chindwara, Betul, Mandla, Sagar, Satna and Khajuraho, Guna, Gwalior and Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh would witness light rain and thundershower activities in the next 24 hours. Dry weather has been prevailing over the central parts of the country inclusive of Madhya Pradesh and other adjoining states.
It is foreseen that the wind pattern from Northwest are likely to get intercepted by the warm and moist winds from South that would prevail over Madhya Pradesh. Day temperatures are also expected to rise over Madhya Pradesh due to the mixing of two air masses. The activity is likely to pick up pace on March 11 over Madhya Pradesh.
Thunderstorm or thunderclouds might develop with chances of light rain accompanied with strong gusty winds over Southeast and Northeast Madhya Pradesh. Scorching heat has started showing its impact in day time. Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature 32.3 degree Celsius which was just below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 15 degree Celsius which was 1.6 degree Celsius below normal.
Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 31.5 degree Celsius which was 2.2 degree Celsius below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 14.9 degree Celsius which was just below normal. Khargone and Khandwa each recorded 35 degree Celsius which was highest day temperature in the state. According to Metrological department, as wind pattern from Northwest are likely to get intercepted by the warm and moist winds from South and this system is likely to prevail over the state. It will cause rain activities in the various parts of the Madhya Pradesh.
