Parmar and his supporters are upset over party’s decision to field Dr Mujaldey over Parmar as the candidate. They claimed that party gave ticket to a person without seeking party workers opinion. Parmar who is claiming to be active in area for past 30 years said, “Forget about voters, many Congress workers are unaware about Dr Mujaldey. He left his government job recently and has no contribution in party’s development in Nimar region,” Parmar said.
“I’m in regular touch with party workers and people and if they want me to contest, I’m ready to contest elections as an independent candidate,” Parmar added. He said party must reconsider its decision or could face stiff challenge in upcoming polls as he along with a large number of his supporters will tender mass resignation from party membership and will contest elections. Barwani municipality president Laxman Chouhan, state Congress secretary Nanesh Choudhary, district Youth Congress president Abhishek Thakkar and others were present with Parmar.
