BHOPAL: The temple for which a concrete platform was constructed in the park in Indus Colony a long time ago has not come up so far. The project was abandoned after the initial stage and the park has not been developed. Ultimately the area residents are highly disappointed.

When the people purchased houses in the colony they were also charged money for the park. In the meantime, an idea was floated for construction of a temple in the park simultaneously with the development of the park. But now neither temple has been constructed nor has the park been developed. Residents are feeling cheated by builders. Even MLA Rameshwar Sharma was invited when function was held for temple construction but now he has also turned a blind eye toward the park’s development.

Bhimrao Patil

“People’s representatives should support the residents to mount the pressure on builders for park development. Unfortunately it is not happening.”

Sitaram Verma

“The park is in a highly deplorable condition, lacking proper fencing, and greenery with ornamental plants. Swings and slides are also not in good condition for kids to play.”

Sapna

“The builder, MLA and Corporator are not interested in development and conservation of the park. Earlier builder had assured for the development of the park after construction of temple. The MLA was invited in the function to lay foundation of the temple but now he completely turned his back.”

Sharad Singh

“There must be accountability of the authority concerned for the development of the park. Residents have paid for the development of the park at the time of purchasing of duplex. But now park has been left in a deteriorated condition.”
