Nath reached Bhopal on Tuesday evening during the election campaign. He also sought information from his confidant officers about the cases against BJP leaders. He also sought information on first information reports (FIRs) filed in e-tender scam and Makhanlal Chaturvedi University of Journalism.
Action may be taken in such cases after polling in Lok Sabha elections. During review Nath clearly directed the officials that action should be taken against anyone found involved in scam in previous government. It is also under consideration to hand over such cases to Economic Offences Wing (EOW). According to sources, Nath has been apprised about issues related to cooperative banks, submitting of false affidavits and decisions taken by former ministers. There are chances that many BJP leaders may enter into troubled waters.
