BHOPAL: A habitual offender was found dead on MANIT campus under Kamla Nagar police station on Sunday. It triggered sensation in MANIT. The head of the deceased was crushed with heavy stone.
Prima facie it seems to be a case of murder considering all the factors like deceased criminal’s background. As per police he must have many foes due to criminal background.
The body was in a highly decomposed condition so prima facie it seems that offender must have died two to three days ago. It has been sent for postmortem. Family members had reported the matter to police which registered a case of missing. As per the police, Viru Lohat, 26, son of Mahesh Lohat, resident of Rahul Nagar, has been found dead.
PM reports will spill the beans about cause of death. Family members had reported to police about Viru missing. He had criminal record as many cases of clash, dispute, and others are pending against him with Kamla Nagar police.
Investigating Officer Prakash Singh Rajput said, “We have not received PM report so far so we cannot say about exact cause of death. But body is two to three days old as it was highly decomposed. The deceased has criminal background as cases of clash and dispute are already with the police station.”
