Bhopal: A workshop was organised at Samarpan Kendra of JP hospital by Bhopal Organ Donation Society on Friday where MP Alok Sanjar, Collector Nishant Warwade, CMHO Dr Veena Sinha, members of National Organ Donation Society, Aanganwadi workers and ASHA workers were present. The workshop was organised to promote eyes, skin and organ donation.
Dr Vimal Bhandari, president, National Organ Donation Society said, “European and other countries have achieved success in saving lives through organ donation and this trend needs to be promoted in India as well because there is a huge need of voluntary organ donations and it can save millions of lives.”
MP Alok Sanjar said, “Bhopal organ donation society is working brilliantly to promote voluntary organ donation but this is not enough to make Bhopal a place where maximum numbers of organ donation takes place. People should realise that it is such a noble deed to donate organ and save someone’s life”. At the workshop, organ donors were awarded and Aanganwadi workers were made the brand ambassador of organ donation.
