Bhopal: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan should take moral responsibility of the killings of the farmers in Mandsaur district and should resign from the post on moral ground, demanded leader of opposition Ajay Singh, on Wednesday.
He also said the CM had befooled farmers on many fronts, every time making several declarations in their favour, but none ever taking off.
“The meeting of Krishi Cabinet is nothing but a fake meeting in which the CM wanted to pose himself as a reformer, but the meeting has no use, because the state government has started killing farmers,” he said.
He also raised question on PM Modi for not paying condolence to the deceased farmers of the BJP ruled state. “The PM poured out his grief on London blast, but has no feeling for Indian farmers,” he said.
He asked farmers to operate their movement peacefully, because the government would have the chance to defame them if they got violent.
“For each and every mishap in the state, the BJP has made a fashion to blame the Congress. The government did not know who had given the orders to open fire on the helpless farmers,” alleged Congress chief spokesperson KK Mishra.
He alleged the collector’s statement that the police had not applied any cane charge or firing on farmers, was very objectionable. He asked, “Who killed the farmers and what is making the state government dole out ex-gratis to the deceased farmers’ kin?”
