BHOPAL: Coordination Committee for Indian Muslims has raised concerns against the course to be taught in madrasas related to patriotism from the next academic session.
A delegation from the committee met chairman of MP Madrasa Board Imaad Uideen. The board has declared that from the next academic session lessons on patriotism or nationalism will be incorporated in the madrasa curriculum. The committee members have asked the board chairman why Muslims are being forced to prove their patriotism or nationalism again and again.
It is also asked that if the course is in favour of nation, than why only Muslims should read the lessons, and why it should not be extended to all the other students without any discrimination, so that they can learn their duties along with their religious facts.
The committee has asked the Ulema (Muslim leaders), especially of Bhopal, that they should come forward for their social responsibility to stop such course, which is questioning Muslim patriotism and also to speak for extending the course for all communities.
