Bhopal: Only 181 admissions were finalized after completion of 3rd round of Ayush counseling on Thursday against 1062 seats in Bhopal and 1814 seats in Madhya Pradesh. The counseling was completed in Pt Khushilal Sharma Government Autonomous Ayurvedic College Hospital, Bhopal. First two rounds of counseling were finished before Assembly polls and third round of counseling was advanced due to imposing of Model Code of Conduct.
Pandit Khushilal Sharma Government Autonomous Ayurvedic College Hospital principal Dr Umesh Shukla said, “Only 181 admission has been finalized during 3rd round of counseling completed on Thursday. Counseling was held for admission in 55 Ayush colleges in imparting education in Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy.”
‘Extra’ fee being charges, allege students
Students seeking admission in offline counselling claimed that they are being charged about Rs 50,000 more than the fee set by Rs 72,500. Ayurveda candidates in at Pt. Khushilal Sharma Government (autonomous) Ayurveda College and institute were asked to pay Rs 1.23 lakh at the time of admission during counseling. Ayush admission committee member, Dr SK Mishra justified the fee on rules and regulation of fee committee. “Fee is related to other charges applied by autonomous body of the college,” Dr SK Mishra said.
