HOSHANGABAD: The one-stop centre (Usha Kiran Centre) was inaugurated at the Red Cross building on the district hospital premises here on Wednesday. On this occasion, to mark International Woman’s Day, women and girl students were feted for their contribution to empowerment of women.
Maya Narolia was chief guest at the function. She said women had always giving new direction to society. “The CM is very enthusiastically conducting campaigns for promoting education of girls and for saving the girl child,” she added. CEO of district panchayat PC Sharma congratulated all the women present at the function. He said women were working shoulder to shoulder with men in all fields. Additional collector Manoj Sariyam said the one-stop centre would provide health, police and legal facilities to women under one roof.
