Bhopal: Legislators making their debut in state Assembly will not be given ministerial berth, said Chief Minister Kamal Nath. Interacting with media after his meeting with Governor Anandiben Patel, Nath said that the first time MLAs should understand the working of legislative assembly first. Chief Minister, on the question of inducting of MLAs of Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in the cabinet, said their leaders did not put any such condition. Despite of this fact, it was to be decided by the leaders of the two parties, he added. According to information, oath-taking ceremony of cabinet may be held on December 24.

Governor would be on a week-long vacation from December 25. The oath-taking programme would be held before her leaving for vacations. Meanwhile, Nath on Thursday left for Delhi for holding discussion on cabinet formation. Nath would discuss with MP Jyotiraditya Scindia and former chief minister Digvijaya Singh about cabinet formation.

After their discussion, they would meet Congress national president Rahul Gandhi to finalise the names of MLAs to be made ministers. A meeting between Scindia and Digvijaya was held to clear any deadlock over cabinet formation. Apart from ministers, Assembly speaker and Congress state chief are also to be finalized. Nath would discuss on these issues with other leaders of the party.
