Bhopal: Nine Campionites win medals in athletics

BHOPAL: Nine students of Campion School, Arera Colony bagged 17 Medals (12 Gold, four Silver and one Bronze) in CBSE Cluster 12 Athletics Meet Competition-2016 held recently in Gwalior.

More than 1100 athletes of different age-groups from 62 CBSE Schools of the state participated in the event. As many as 34 athletes from Campion School took part, of which nine bagged medals. They included Vidhan Shrivastava, Abhishek Agrawal, Vanshaj Kaushik, Swapnil Chandel, Paridhey Gawade, Yash Mandar, Shashwat Singh, Navrang Singh and Gursimar Singh. Campion School also bagged under-17 “Champions Trophy”. These players were coached by Johnsy Koshy. Eight athletes were selected for national competition, which will be   held in December in Vadodara (Gujarat).
