BHOPAL A newly married woman allegedly ended her life by jumping from the fourth floor of the building she resided in, on Saturday afternoon. The deceased, Afreen Bi was married a year ago and was reportedly pregnant. According to SHO Piplani Rakesh Shrivastav, the 29-year-old woman was a resident of Alam Nagar area.
The woman’s parents and in-laws had come to her house to participate in religious gathering on the day she took the extreme step. As the family was busy inside, woman went to the balcony and allegedly jumped from fourth floor of the building.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead. Shrivastava said that the family members have not expressed any foul play and are clueless as what drove her to take the extreme step. An investigation would be taken up to know the reason of hers taking the step.
