BHOPAL: The prime minister Narendra Modi had turned old, he should leave the space to the All India Congress Committee president Rahul Gandhi, said member of parliament (RS) Vivek Tankha, while speaking to media in Jabalpur, on Sunday. Congress MP’s remarks are seen by political experts as a part of series of political statements being exchanged between BJP and Congress.

He added that “PM Modi had failed totally and he had also turned old, he should leave the post to Rahul Gandhi. The new prime minster will be Rahul Gandhi”. He claimed that Gandhi is having different energy, he is getting importance not only in India, but also in abroad. Gandhi had recently visited Dubai where around 75,000 people had participated in his function, this is the proof of his popularity.” On the Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party alliance he said, “The alliance of BSP and SP in Uttar Pradesh shows that the time of PM Modi’s departure has arrived.
