BHOPAL: Nabard has projected a disbursement of Rs 1, 34,438 crore under priority sector by banks for the state for 2017-18. In the State Credit Seminar by Nabard on Tuesday at Hotel Palash, the State Focus Paper (SFP) was released by Agriculture and Farmers’ welfare minister Gaurishankar Bisen and ACS PC Meena.
Bisen while appreciating the support of Nabard to the state said 21 irrigation projects were likely to be sanctioned this year and also congratulated the bank for spreading awareness on water conservation in the state.
CGM, KR Rao said the conference came up with a few important analyses which could help in bringing more prosperity for the farmers. He also said there was a huge gap between income from farming and livestock which needed to be looked after and also different loan payment facilities for large farmland holders and small farmland holders was one such issue.
