Bhopal: Mukesh Chhabra opens another door of job opportunity for MP's talent in web series and movies

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a favourite destination for Bollywood and makers of web series. With multiple projects coming to the state, there are great opportunities for artistes in the state to make a career in the film industry, said Mukesh Chhabra, casting director.

Chhabra, who has cast several actors in such films as Dangal, Kai Po Che, Chillar Party and Gangs of Wasseypur, was speaking at the launch of its first casting company, ëMCCCí, in central Indiaóin Bhopalóin collaboration with Aura Events on Saturday. Actors came in from such neighbouring places as Jhabua, Indore and many other cities around Madhya Pradesh to grace the launch.

Chhabra said such platforms would help talent in the state. ìThe government will support such initiatives through which people can get education and skill training, which helps them make a career in the film industry,î said Mukesh Chhabra. He also said that filmmakers were always looking for organised infrastructure at locations and he would be grateful to launch his casting company in Bhopal to scout for talent.

ìAfter Mumbai, Delhi and Chandigarh, I am opening an office in Bhopal. Iíll hold workshops and those who are talented will surely get an opportunity. Weíve cast many artistes from MP and I know thereís a lot of potential in this state,î he said.

Update your skills

"Now, you don't need to come to Mumbai hunting for work. Just improve your skills and weíll come and take you to the industry. It's almost impossible for us to bring the entire crew from Mumbai. Itís always a big advantage if we have skilled and experienced people available at locations where we're shooting. So, I'll want the local talent to update themselves so that we can hire them on project basis when we come to shoot here. -Mukesh Chhabra, casting director
