Bhopal: Mrignayanee, an emporium of MP Handloom and Handicraft Development Corporation, has launched a huge range of men’s wear collections for the first time at its GTB Complex, New Market. Earlier, the government-owned stores have been selling handmade and handcrafted clothing and other items for women only.
These handloom and handblock collections are kurtas, shirts, jackets and ties with pocket squares in cotton and silk stuff. The highlight of the collection is tussar and mulberry silk ties with pocket squares which is elegantly designed in dabu and bagh print. Its price range is Rs 700 to 800. The printed kurtas and shirts with coconut buttons are available here in pure cotton. Its price range starts from Rs 700 to Rs 1,100. The price range of half sleeve bagh print jackets in cotton stuff is Rs 1,000.
ML Sharma, manager of the emporium said told Free Press, “We lunched for the first time men’s wear collection in handloom and handblock print on large scale. We launched the collection on August 3 for festive seasons. Earlier, we sell garments and other items for women exclusively. The response of customers is good. We are getting huge demand of kurtas, ties with pocket squareson Rakshabandhan. These collections are available in various colours and designs.”
Sharma further said, “We are giving 20 per cent discount on buying each item till August 11. After that, 10 per cent discount will be given on each item. Now, the collection is available at the emporium of GTB Complex only. If we get good response from customers then we will display these collections on other stores of the emporium in the city.”
