BHOPAL: The filing of a first information report (FIR) against an MLA, Vishwas Sarang, for inaugurating a park, and the controversy over inauguration of a hospital in Gwalior, have triggered a political storm in the state.
Leader of opposition (LoP) Gopal Bhargava in a letter to all MLAs has asked them to inaugurate the works done by them and perform bhoomi pujan of new works.
Bhargava said it was a matter of their jurisdiction. He wrote if government resorts to ill-treatment then we would come on streets and launch an agitation.

LoP Bhargava said the government earlier insulted our mayors and now it was insulting our MLAs. The ministers in Congress government are openly threatening the BJP MLAs and getting FIRs filed against them. Bhargava said does an MLAs not have right to inaugurate developmental works in one’s constituency. Bhargava said Congress minister PC Sharma got an FIR filed against Vishwas Sarang for inaugurating developmental works in his constituency.
Bhargava alleged that there were no rules and laws in the state and the government was working arbitrarily. Bhargava has asked Chief Minister Kamal Nath to put a tab on his ministers.
