BHOPAL: After the BJP state executive meeting, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan again directed his ire at ministers during the cabinet meeting on Tuesday.  Chouhan said many ministers had skipped the executive committee meeting and now they are missing from the cabinet meeting as well. He said that the ministers should take party and cabinet meetings seriously. “When I can remain present in such meetings throughout, what stops the ministers from doing it? Why are they so busy that they cannot even attend key meetings?” He asked.

Chouhan also pulled up the ministers for now showing interest in Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday campaign. He said that despite his instructions, many ministers have not reviewed the progress of campaign in districts under their charge. He said that he had also asked the ministers to review the constructions works of Rs 50 lakh and above in the districts but that too was not done.He told the school education minister Vijay Shah to take immediate steps to regulate the fees of private schools. “Will you do it only after the High Court issues an order?” He asked. The CM also asked the ministers to hold talks with striking employees of their department and resolve their issues.

Chouhan said the ministers should tour their home districts and districts under their charge three days a week to review the progress of Gramodaya campaign and take part in Gram Sansad, Mahila Sansad and Kisan Sammelans.  He said the chief secretary, principal secretaries and other officers should also travel instead of sitting in their offices.
