BHOPAL: An eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 30-year-old man on Sunday at Aishbag here. A case has been registered and investigations are on to nab the accused.
According to the police, the victim, a resident of Tila Jamalpura had gone to Aishbag locality to her relative’s place with her family on Sunday. The accused identified as Anwar, an auto-rickshaw driver who also used to live in Aishbag locality, lured her with chocolates and took her to a nearby secluded place where he raped her. He fled from the scene soon after the incident. The victim reached her relative’s house crying and narrated her ordeal to her family.
A case was registered after her family members lodged a complaint against the accused under relevant sections of IPC. Investigations are on to nab him, police added.
