Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission (MPHRC) has asked the superintendent of police (SP), Chhatarpur about the minor missing girl and has given three weeks time to present a reply. ‘Why did the police not register an FIR’, the officials asked here on Tuesday.
They informed that the commission has taken cognisance of the case of a missing girl from village Pahadgaon under Ishanagar police station.
The father of the girl had filed a complaint to the police that his daughter was kidnapped, but the police did not register a case. They are also not helping the family to find the girl.
According to the girl’s parents, they had gone to attend a marriage ceremony on June 25 in another village. When they returned the next day, they did not find the girl in the house. The grandmother of the girl said that she had gone to the jungle with livestock. When she did not return till late evening the family searched for the girl.
They also went to the police station to register a complaint and told the police that one of the villagers Deshraj Kushwaha had threatened them that he is going to kidnap his daughter.
The commission has asked the SP, that why a case of kidnapping was not registered for nine days’. The commission has given three weeks to reply.
